Dear Family, Friends, and Colleagues!
1 in 5 kids in our community is hungry. That’s why I will be participating in Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Foodie 5K fun run/walk and have committed to raise funds that will translate into nutritious food for families in need! Every $1 donated to the Food Bank provides $8 worth of food for hungry neighbors.
I need your help to make a difference in the lives of our hungry neighbors. Here’s how:
1. Make a donation. A total of $100 can feed a family of 4 for an entire month! If you'd rather make a donation by check, please include this form with your donation sent directly to the food bank.
Feel free to donate anywhere from $1 to $5! Any donation is a huge contribution!
OR you can even:
2. Register for the Foodie 5K, set your own fundraising goal, and join me for the event. Come and join the fun by walking or running the 5K in Independence Grove in Libertyville, IL this Saturday (5/13)!
3. Cheer me on at the course and register to become an event volunteer.
Join the fun with a great cause!
Thank you for considering my request.
Your support of Northern Illinois Food Bank's Foodie 5K will help lighten the burden of neighbors in need like Teresa, who receives food at a pantry in West Chicago, one of more than 800 feeding programs in the Food Bank’s network. Teresa stays home to care for her two autistic children. She is grateful for the support she receives thanks to supporters of the Food Bank.
“This food makes a big difference because we can barely make our bills. My husband is the only one working, so this helps a lot."
Together we can solve hunger.
